MedRat Medical News and Information Reference Desk

  • Latest medical news and information from various sources (medical journals and others) are owned by the respective publishing and other organizations and companies, and are wholly based on news feeds (mainly "really simple syndication" or RSS news feeds). MedRat uses a parsing PHP code at its Web server to present these RSS news feeds directly from the original source or Web site without archiving the content of these news feeds. No content of these news feeds is archived by MedRat. Actually MedRat is proudly acknowledged by several sources of these news feeds as MedRat effectively disseminate the news feeds (without archiving the content of these news feeds)  of these organizations to the targeted audiences. We at MedRat honor the intellectual sanctity of these news feeds and present them to the audience directly from the original source's Web sites without archiving the content. However, if an organization of these news feeds (RSS news feeds) requires to terminate the presentation of their news feeds via MedRat Web sites, please direct us to terminate presenting these news feeds from MedRat Web sites. We again assure that nothing of the content of these feeds is archived by MedRat.  

  • Contents of these news feeds is protected copyright laws owned by the original source. MedRat is not responsible for any material included in MedRat Web presentations submitted/owned by a third party and that is seen to be offending, abusive, obscene, illegal or in breach of any ones rights. MedRat will remove such third-party-submitted/owned materials if these are illegal or in breach of any ones' intellectual or other legal rights.

  • Our site provides links to other Web sites (sources of news feeds and others), however the content of which is not under our control. We cannot accept any responsibility for offers or goods that feature on such Web sites. Links to these Web sites does not mean we have endorsed these and that they will be virus free or of any other damaging nature.

MedRat NutriArchives (comprising food composition Web pages based on "USDA National Nutrient Database for Standard Reference")

  • MedRat presents nutritional composition of thousands of food items according to USDA National Nutrient Database for Standard Reference to the users/visitors for their non-commercial "fair use". The content of the original database is a public domain.

  • MedRat has used the abridged database (in Microsoft Access file format) to create these food composition Web pages.

  • The design and calculations made in these food composition Web pages are MedRat's developed technology to uses the original database.

MedRat Online Discussion Forums

  • MedRat presents a number of online discussion forums with materials submitted by the registered users/members/visitors. Use the information presented at your own risk. 

MedRat Public Health Reference Desk

  • "MedRat Public Health Reference Desk" is one of the largest repositories of data-driven Web pages on public health topics and issues, based MedRat's own public health database created by retrieving information from a number of public and private sources to present bibliographic and other information on scientific publications (printed, electronically broadcasted, or otherwise). It has taken years to develop this public health database for purpose of creating hundreds of thousands of data-driven Web pages as a repository of Web pages called here "MedRat Public Health Reference Desk".

MedRat respects the intellectual property of others, and MedRat asks that its users do the same. When you visit our web site we automatically collect the following information
